Welcome to South Carolina Psychological Association
SCPA is the only professional organization in South Carolina representing all areas of psychology: academic, practitioner, and public service. SCAPP, the South Carolina Association of Professional Psychologists, is the practice-oriented division of SCPA.
As SCPA strives to better serve the professionals of psychology in South Carolina you will be seeing changes to the website. On September 15, 2008 the SCPA website will be shut down for a brief period while we upload the new site. The new website will be at the same web address - www.scpsychology.org, but you will see many changes and updated features. These features have been designed to better serve your needs as a psychologist.
In the meantime, please pardon the current site, but know we are working very hard behind the scenes to produce a useful tool. Some of the features that you can anticipate include:
- Online Professional Networking through profiles
- Discussion boards
- Divisions of special interests
- Calendar of Events
- Event photo buckets
- Convenient Registrations
- Public information
- Professional tools that will be easy to download for members
Once the site is running your feedback will be most appreciated. It will be useful to let SCPA know the features you like, dislike and would like to see.
For now the only event that has an open registration is Academic Day. You can register online as you have been, but temporarily it would be best to use this form (download here) complete and fax to 877-349-1860, or email to admin@scpsychology.org. If you choose to register online you will receive a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation please contact Tracy Russell, 877-640-7272.
Please check back in September where the registration for the following events will be live:
October, 2008
7 Academic Day, Charleston, the Citadel
23 Upstate Regional Rally, Greenville
November, 2008
7 SCPA Psychology Business School and Fall Conference, Columbia
13 LowCountry Regional Rally, Charleston
